Brennan's Trip to Florida
This summer Brennan got to spend a month with his Grandma and Grandpa Broach down in the Florida Keys. He was so excited to go and really enjoyed his time there. :-) I sent him with the camera and here are a few pictures of his adventures.
Yep, they even let him drive the boat. This is a long way from the little 5 year old boy that told Grandpa, "Girls like to go fast (in boats) and boys like to go slow." Doesn't look like he likes to go slow anymore. :-)
Brennan was able to go swimming at a local pool pretty much every night that he was there. Here are a few pictures from his swimming adventures. It appears that he and Grandpa had a lot of fun torturing each other.
This is where Brennan spent most of his time with Grandpa...working at the marina. He really loved it and everyone treated him so nicely. He just became one of them and was able to go out on the boats and go fishing many times.
He even went to Theater of the Sea while he was there and got to hold a Parrot. Pretty exciting! We have told him that if he wants to head back there next year he has to get good grades and be good at school...so hopefully that is enough motivation for him. :-)

First Day of School 2011
Well it is the first day of school. Brennan is starting 6th grade (yes, that is middle school!!), Madison is in 4th grade and Kellen is starting Kindergarten. I don't know when I got so old to have kids in all these grades let alone 3 kids in school.
So here is the BIG kid...Brennan!
He was so excited that he didn't have to wear uniforms this year.
(No the gun didn't go to school with him.)
Next up is my princess...Madison!!
She is a big 4th grader this year, I don't know how she grew up so fast.
The last one is my sunshine...Kellen!
He wanted his hair to look like a rock star.
We had to do a few pictures together too...well this is what we got. :-)
And here is what I did all day while they were gone. :-)

Laie Temple Open House
On October 22, 2010 we headed out to Laie Hawaii to see the temple. It was the open house and I wanted to make sure my children had the opportunity to go inside and see the temple and all it's beauty. We are not able to take pictures inside but we had a great time taking pictures outside. My good friend Chelsea and her children joined us for the day.
These first few pictures were taken right after we came out of the temple. The kids are in swimsuits because we
were heading to the beach right afterward.
The day was sunny and the temple was beautiful who can resist taking some spectacular photos.
Here is a cute picture of the girls,
and of course us mom's had to follow suit. :-)
We had a lot of fun down by the reflecting pool that is out in front of the visitor's center. The kids were running around having an enjoyable time.
And yes it started with hands, then feet, and then Kellen was standing in the reflecting pool. The last picture Edward and Brennan were going to join him in standing in the water. That is when we thought it might be time to head out before we get in trouble.
But as the bigger kids were running around playing Teagan found a lot of enjoyment in the water bottle that we got after exiting the temple along with a cookie. As you can see he already finished off the cookie so all he had left was the water.
I think in this last picture he was pointing at the big kids and trying to tell on them. ha ha :-)

The funny look on Kellen's face is because there was a bee in the water...so they moved to the other side.

October Head Start Field Trips!
Kellen is in Head Start again this year. We had a few fun field trips back in October. So here are a few pictures from them.
First up was Waimea Falls. Unfortunately only 2 kiddos showed up but they still did the field trip for us.
They were able to make natural pesticide out of lemongrass,
dig for bugs in the compost pile, and plant a few seeds in the garden.
"Uncle" was so much fun and the kids really enjoyed him helping them plant the seeds.
Then they were able to go around and water all the plants.
Since there was only 2 kids we had time to walk all the way up to the waterfall.
Next up was the HMR Fire Station...Kellen's favorite I am sure.
He had so much fun being able to walk around to look at the Fire Engines and also being able to climb on them and pretend to be a firefighter.

Madison's Baptism
On September 4, 2010 our sweet daughter made the choice to be baptized. It was part of a Stake baptism but it was still just as special.
Here she is after she got in her jumpsuit. I love the smile on her face.
Of course we have to have the picture with Dad. It was so nice to have Dad here to baptize her.
The baptism was wonderful and we were able to share it with a few friends. One of the friends that was able to make it was her lovely 2nd grade teacher (who is a member). It was so nice to have Mrs. Mederios there to enjoy the day with us.
We are so thankful to be living in Hawaii and the lovely greenery around us. So we took advantage of this and took these pictures right outside the church.
